Blonde or Brunette?

Terenchal rain this morning prevented my run for the first time since the program began. Such a disappointment. True it had come at the perfect time, being a night with little to no sleep. And i did feel more alert during the day. Perhaps it was the coffee tho? LOADS of coffee.

Today also was a the first time I ran out of credit before the end of the cycle?! Not convenient. But i must have been a talking whore all week.

Casting for LOVESONG has just gotten harder. I now have too many options for my last cast member, with more to audition, its not looking fun to decide. But im excited that we are good to GO! (finally)

One of the cast, Pete encouraged me to drink more quantities of coffee before going home. And as a result I forgot the Wasabi Sauce due to my talk-a-thon with Gen in my time of casting crisis.

Also, i'm pretty sure Mr Wednesday is into me. He came up with three really lame excuses to talk to me today. This, I find acceptable AND adorable but hopefully not misinterpreted.

We have not had any communication since January, see correspondence below.

Imagine you have had three hours of sleep, run five miles in the morning upon waking, fall asleep in peek hour traffic, feel consistently hungry all day, work on mind-numbingly boring paper binding tasks all day at work without finishing and then when you get home cant get to bed because you're drawn into a debate with your parents about life, the universe and everything.

This was my day.

Clouds of awesome today include:

A call from Leila requesting a little creative input.

A confirmation on sound and lighting technicians for my May production of Lovesong :)

Finding FOUR interested auditionees for Molly for said production

And a phone call from Tuneil organising our camping trip. (which may not happen now with sudden unfortunate family matters arising)

Voldemort can't sing for shit

Since work ran me into the ground today, I thought i'd compose an interpretive street dance and actually fall over in the rain outside of Newtown Franklins on my way home from door managing [title of show] auditions.

If that was not enough, I also fell on my groceries. Soy Milk and Yogurt went everywhere over the road and sidewalk. I had slipped when I rushed out onto the road. It was not fun.

Now my right leg's injuries are turning into some kind of macabre art-form.

And I had to buy expensive open-until-Midnight groceries twice.

And I didn't even have time to get my sushi dinner.

And I hadn't been home since Thursday.

AND I didn't have a carton of soy milk at work ready for breakfast OR bread for lunch.

Tomorrow will be much of the same. Yay no sleep.

That woman in the moo moo

Getting in at 4am to Leila's this morning was not exciting for my sleeping time.

I managed to clock up around 6 hours sleep before necessity and near afternoon sunlight forced me upon my 35g of muesli.

It seems I have been overly hungry of late. Last night was a good example of this, craving food at 3am in the morning and then discovering the little food I could wake up to had a detrimental effect on my mood today.

Although, Leila and I had an ADVENTURE to the Blue Mountains. Her father recently celebrated a birthday and so, I was invited along up to dinner. It was a great afternoon. Glen did marking. I lost yet another game of Settlers of Catan. See above, I'm the Blue pieces. And for dinner, as everyone else was having fabulously delicious foods made from happiness and meats; I plowed right through my four bean mix pancakes I made for myself.

The one discomfort, appart from the lack of eating Pam's awesome pastries was meeting a strange man who thought it rude of me to call gnocchi "Knocky". Rather he found it prudent to snippily inform me that it is called "nnnyowk-ee" or something equally rediculous. I tried to casually remark that I couldn't care less by saying I call Tacos "Tack-ohs" rather than "tah-koes". He seemed to still be annoyed at my lack of culture.

God bless Pam, she kept sliding sneaky comments my way supporting me in my lack of knowledge on the way in which to call delicious balls of potato awesomeness. Lots of people love Pam.

Sorry to miss it, but wollongong? Its freaking Wollongong!!!

Grieving over a show is very common thing for me to do.

I am very depressed at the death of my chook.

Today's final 2 performances of SPELLING BEE was an emotional roller-coaster. I had started the day late, but in place of going grocery shopping I played and lost an awesome game of Settlers of Catan. It was a great start to a gret day, despite the horrible losing on my behalf.

I did, in my flurry of getting to the theatre manage to go to the local Corrimal Coles. There, i managed to purchase $20 of groceries. (one of the only advantages of being on a diet coupled with being a vegetarian - heavily reduced grocery bills) But also splurged out on $80 worth of cheese, crackers, berries and double creams. This was intended to be a 'Moving-On-Platter' for when we moved on from the theatre.

The shows turned out to be fabulous. I had a real awesome feel to all three shows this weekend. And its just as well, it was amazing to have been involved in such a positive experience. The high note was just mango butter cream icing on the cake.

AND, apart from the 2 large scabs forming on my left foot, the 2 floor burns on my elbows and the 30cm gash in my right leg, i walked away relatively unharmed from this show :)

Needles to say, thanks to an unannounced grandmother, we had no venue for the after-party. My Moving-On Cheese moved on back to Leilas in my cooler bag.

Also, when they brought out platters upon platters of food after bump out, it was very sad. I was like:

*sigh*
"my crazy diet prevents me from eating any of this"

4am is not a healthy time to be going to bed.

OH! and in an awesome moment of awesomeness, i discovered Tyson also shared my crazy cult love of the 1980's flick 'CLUE'

Your face is so [title of show] right now

Care labels have always annoyed me. They itch like crazy, and when you try and cut them off your shirt, they rip the fabric open, and you get a hole, and then need to buy a new shirt with a new care label. I heat print care labels. So much awesomer...

Anyhew, it wont come as a shock to you, that working on redesigning literally 1000's of new care labels at work for the past month has gotten this muggle down. Today, was supposed to be printing day. The day of finishing. The day of printing off 7,500 A3 pages of Care Label artwork to send over to China. Alas, only 1,500 pages were printed. Its a whole other story why. You can't get there by bus... but there you have it.

Spelling Bee was AMAZING tonight. I have started a new tradition it seems with Arcadian Shows. The Friday night show is coffee shot night. 30 seconds before stage time is an extra strength shot of coffee sludge for the gulping and the hyping. I was completely on fire tonight with the buzzing and the bringing of the crazy.

So much so, that the cast were hesitant to take me out to a coffee shop post show. I went. And had another long black. Delicious.

But Mara was the one totally burning the awesome sauce candle at both ends. She was beyond amazing. Superstar performance for her tonight :)

Also tonight, an ex student Tamara came to see the show. She totally knocked me down with a feather. I was so excited to see her and thrilled that she had loved the show. This is how the scene went down after coming out of the dressing room:

SCENE FIVE:

[Kenney enters the auditorium triumphantly holding a mango flavoured yogurt.]

Kenney: [addressing Tyson in a stilted tone] Hello-Tyson-I-have-got-a-mango-flavoured-yogurt-to-eat-now-it-is-called-formé-which-is-a-pun-be-cause-it-is-a-yogurt-for-me-but-the-accent-on-the-e-makes-it-say-form-which-makes-you-thinner.

[Tamara has watched with hesitation and is scared to approach]

Kenney: [eating yogurt] nomnomnom

Tamara: KENNEY!

Kenney: [embarrassed] oh!? WOW! You CAME! how AMAZING! apologies, i err.. am...hyped up on...coffee atm.

Tamara's Dad: ...

Tamara: You were AWESOME!

Kenney: *grin* gee thanks.

[Tyson ties a pink ribbon around his head in a clean and professional manner]

END SCENE

It went down EXACTLY like that. No lies. Then, Tamara made my week by saying how I was her favorite teacher. Big Call. Big Call. KIND of a Big Deal. So Happy. Yay.
